Society for Policy & Enterprise (SPN)

The Society for Policy & Enterprise (SPN) promotes interaction between the business community, politicians, policy advisors and the civil service.

The Swedish Society for Politics & Business (SPN) was founded in 1980. The core activity of the Society for Business and Politics is to organize visits to business and industrial enterprises for members of the Swedish Parliament, Swedish Members of the European Parliament, and high-ranking officials from the Swedish Parliament, the Swedish Government Offices and the Ministries. SPN in Brussels is an initiative by the Confederation and Swedish MEPs. Its main activities are seminars and networking events with the purpose of facilitating contacts between business and the EU institutions.

The Society also arranges courses for business on the political decision making process and examines topics of common interest to people and politicians through seminars and excursions.

SPN comprises of parliamentary representatives and Confederation of Swedish Enterprise. The current chairpersons of SPN are Louise Malmström, Chairperson of SPN Sweden, and Göran Färm, Chairperson of SPN Brussels.

Since 1997 the Society cooperates with The International Association of Business and Parliament www.iabp.org
