Broad tax reform promotes growth
Tax reform| Urban Bäckström, Director General of the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, calls for wide-ranging tax reforms so Sweden can grow out of its deepest crises since the Second World War at the Confederation’s annual economic seminar.

En ko står på en äng med fabriker i förgrunden Environmental regulation| The Swedish Environmental Code has 480 paragraphs supplemented by over 4,500 rules and regulations issued by agencies and municipalities. "This is an unfinished piece of legislation", states Nicklas Skår, Environmental Law expert at the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, in his report "Environmental law – How could it be that wrong?".

Businesses lose skills with LAS (Employment Protection Act)
Order of termination rules| Unions often claim that LAS presents no problems for larger businesses. But a new survey by the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise shows that the rules are not flexible. The report shows that rules covering order of termination present significant problems for larger companies, too.

Environment| Sweden has significantly reduced environmental emissions since 1970. "To keep improving the environment, we need more international collaboration and shorter processing times for companies", reports Inger Strömdahl, Environmental expert at the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.
