Sweden introduces private air traffic controllers
Competition |
The long standing monopoly in air traffic control services previously held by
the Luftfartsverket (LFV – the Swedish aviation authority) finally ended on

private company into the market—to take over at three Swedish airports—in
Växjö, Västerås and Örebro. This will benefit consumers and the entire
industry with market-based pricing for these services.

growth. But Svante Spolander, who runs family business Kukkolaforsen
Tourist and Conference, hasn’t seen the benefits of this policy in his
business. He wants to see less red tape, lower payroll taxes and uniform,
and low VAT levels to raise the status of both his business and employees.
