Nordic business ETS support letter

The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, together with the Confederation of Finnish Industries, the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise, and the Confederation of Danish Industry, has written a joint letter to Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Climate Commissioner Wopke Hoekstra expressing our strong support for the EU ETS.

The letter emphasizes the ETS’s advantages as market-based and technology neutral instrument driving decarbonization. From the Confederation’s and our Nordic colleagues’ view, a predictable business environment is key for European competitiveness and for realizing the significant investments needed to strengthen the Union’s resilience and deliver on agreed decarbonization ambitions.
