Europe Under Challenge

There is currently an intense debate across Europe about the future direction of the European cooperation. The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise welcomes this discussion. The EU is crucial for Swedish companies, and it is not enough to safeguard the successes that the EU has achieved. Our point of departure is to highlight how to strengthen the competitiveness of Europe. The best way to do that is for the EU to focus on its core strengths and on areas where common solutions bring real added value. In a globalised world, such an approach is about providing the conditions for Member States, citizens and companies to create job creation, growth and social security among tough international competition. By focusing on eliminating barriers to enterprising people and competitive companies, the EU can be the driving force for continued sustainable prosperity for all its citizens. The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise lays out the recipe for a competitive EU in our new report “Europe under challenge”.
