In recent years, the growing volume and complexity of regulation have increased costs and administrative burdens for businesses across Europe. At the same time, the EU must deliver on its green and digital ambitions while strengthening long-term competitiveness. This panel discussion will bring together policymakers, businesses, and experts to discuss how the EU can achieve genuine simplification and burden reduction, without compromising its strategic objectives. The discussion will focus on concrete ways to reduce regulatory burdens, improve better regulation practices, and free up resources for innovation, investment, and sustainable growth.

Coffee is served from 17:00. The event is followed by a Cocktail Reception.

Confirmed speakers and panelists:

Valdis Dombrovskis, Commissioner for Economy and Productivity; Implementation and Simplification

Jessica Rosencrantz, Minister for EU Affairs, Sweden

Mats Liedholm, Managing Director, Fazer Sweden

Lars Holm Nielsen, Senior Adviser, Confederation of Danish Employers

Marilena Raouna, Deputy Minister for European Affairs, Cyprus
