Targeted and effective measures are needed to successfully reduce the administrative burden for companies. Therefore, the EU’s focus on competitiveness and better regulation is strongly supported. As part of the EU Commission’s efforts, a number of Omnibus simplification initiatives have been launched during 2025, aiming to simplify, streamline and reduce burden under existing legislation in several areas. More such initiatives are in the pipeline.

For these simplification initiatives to be successful, they must be developed in close dialogue with businesses, and focus on delivering concrete solutions to identified problems. The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise has put together recommendations that will be key for the initiatives to genuinely reduce burden, simplify processes and increase competitiveness for European businesses. The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise is committed to contribute in the process ahead.
