Comments on Call for Evidence Omnibus Digital Simplification Package

If EU could ensure harmonised application of all digital regulations, it would make compliance less burdensome. Further, it would be rational to clear burdens of administrative requirements like documentation that do not increase the protection of consumers or society. Also, simplification of the complex rules like AI Act, GDPR, Data Act and CRA are needed to support compliance, legal certainty, innovation and competitiveness.

Together with BusinessEurope we propose amendments (see Simplifying the EU digital rulebook) and with the Business 9+group (B9+) we call for a robust impact assessment of the current digital framework and a high threshold for any new regulation to avoid costs and confusion.
