Sändningen börjar The Next Step for the Science of Learning
How can teaching be sustainably strengthened through research-based insights into how humans truly learn?
Over the past decade, the Science of Learning (SoL) has gained increasing influence in both academic research and school development. This seminar aims to explore how the next step can be taken toward long-term, evidence-informed educational practice. Teachers, school leaders, special educators, education authorities, and teacher educators will have the opportunity to meet both Swedish and international researchers who have contributed significantly to the dissemination and advancement of SoL.
Key Topics for Discussion
• How evidence-informed teaching can be sustained over time.
• How to avoid the oversimplification of well-intentioned ideas (so-called “lethal mutations”).
• What long-term structures schools and authorities require for systematic knowledge-building and professional development.
• The potential implications of artificial intelligence for the ongoing development of SoL.
• How misunderstandings of research can generate unnecessary tensions within the education system.
All participants are warmly welcome—whether you are new to the field or already engaged in evidence-based educational practice. The seminar will be held in English.
